The energetic Chise (@sailorrooscout, 24 Nov 2021) on Twitter creates another valuable gem -- crafted out of observed variation between EU nations in COVID-19 November surge impact. 

Death is tied to poor vaccine coverage, don't you know? 

And it's the elderly that matter most in mortality, so targeted vaccine protection matters a lot:

With fully vaccinated old age groups in the region, there is little death. There is not so much vaccine protection in some eastern European countries, and plenty of death. It is indeed a very hard way to learn what disease specialists already knew -- and said widely-- at least a year or so earlier.
