Riboflavin, also known as vitamin B2 is an easily absorbed micronutrient with a key role in maintaining animal health. Following a request from the European Commission, the Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed (FEEDAP) was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of vitamin B2 in the form of riboflavin produced byBacillus subtilis as an additive to feed and water for drinking for all animal species and categories.
