The curious thing is that virtually no one ever enters into the details of what I write.
Today we talk about the health effects of GM cotton in India, but first you need a premise: usually the articles I write here on biotechnology at ilfattoquotidiano.it trigger much controversy in the comments (and some gratuitous insults). Many people complain and ask the editor or the director Peter Gomez not to allow me make me write anymore. The curious thing is that virtually no one ever enters into the details of what I write. Nobody tells me "Look, you're wrong, there are the most current data published in the scientific journal Xyz that contradicts what you say". This I would very much like as there's always something to learn.
No, simply they write because they are indignant about an account of the facts (discharged by the best of scientific investigations carried out so far) which are in "default" because they go against the convictions of many people. And these people, when something upsets their beliefs, rather than considering the idea that they are wrong, they react by raising a wall of objection.
