In the first case of its kind in Georgia, two vegan parents were convicted by a Fulton County jury Wednesday of starving their newborn to death.
Fulton prosecutors painted a grim picture of a newborn murdered by starvation. They said his parents kept only one bottle in the house, and only fed their son soy milk and apple juice...
"Sanders and Lamont Thomas -- said they did what they thought was best for their baby boy."
Worst PR I have ever seen for organic soya milk....this is very disturbing and is the extreme result of what I term 'food apartheid' that is occurring in our neo-modernist world ...Celtic Lad

It's unfortunate that these people said they were vegans, because strong evidence points to that they just starved their baby to death. First of all the baby's bones were visable, it weighed 3 1/2 lbs AND they lived right across from a hospital. Most babies are born at 7lbs, so the baby was visibly losing, or at least not gaining weight. It would have appeared to be starving. This is a case of lying, a completely fabricated story, they thought they could get away with murder in this form. I cant wait until it comes out, somewhere, somehow that they were not vegans at all.

It's extremist freaks like you that give freaks a bad name. Everyone knows that a vegan diet is lacking in essential proteins, which are critical for the development of a developing child, and even more critical for one born underweight.
This child was sacrificed for the sake of a mistaken and corrupt ideology. If Hell didn't exist for such as these parents, they certainly present a sound argument for inventing it.
Why are people so afraid of vegetarians and vegans? "Normal" parents starve their babies too, and it doesn't have anything to do with eating meat, it's mental illness.
This headline is so wrong, let's turn it around for a second, I apologize in advance for this insult to your habits and beliefs.

All of that is true, no doubt about it. But it's not fair to group that psycho with other people based on diet. Again I'm sorry, hope you understand.
I feel that the "Vegan" thing is only an excuse for a malnutritioned child. I do feel that the extremes of the vegan lifestyle could confuse those whose "mental" state was less than stable. A "Normal Vegan" knows not to starve their child to death. A "Normal" anything knows this, so I say the parents had ISSUES that needed addressing before their baby died. Where was the family and friends of these parents? I think there are more than two people responsible for this babies death. Sorry for all involved, FYI I am not even a vegetarian much less a vegan.
This case is unfortunate. It's not even a matter of vegans vs meat eaters. It's a matter of the mother so foolishly feeds their baby soymilk when she could've feed the baby breast milk. If u ask me they are a bunch of vegan freaks like PETA. In case you haven't notice, extremist vegans are very judgemental and lack the proper nutrient to think properly.
